Stuck in the Coop
Songster
What a crazy night for weather! Glad everyone seems to have come through without damages.
It couldn't decide what it wanted to do here - started out with pouring rain, lightening and thunder. By this morning it was a dusting of snow. Temp is already above freezing so that will be gone soon. We really need the moisture in whatever form, been too dry to even burn trash in January
if we don't get significant rain or snow I fear it will be a hard year on the farmers.
Post office called - I have eggs to pick up
will report back later on who from and condition.
I've been trying to sell a couple brown leghorn cockerels on Craigslist - zero response, but this morning I have an email asking if I'll sell any hens...decisions, decisions...I only have 1 laying and 3 that are 4 months. They are my white eggs for a full color basket. Sell these (I do need to move some birds) and hatch some more or not? Perhaps tell him I'll only sell a trio so I get rid of one of the roos - is that a bad thing to do when the cockerels and pullets are from the same parents?
