What is this bird? I love it! Not enough coffee yet to figure out what 'with a SFH' means

The white is from Jim.. a mix. The SFH = Swedish Flower Hen. Beautiful birds.... I have a bunch, waiting for them to grow out. So far I see only 1 rooster out of 13-14.

OH! I had no idea you had the Swedish Flower Hens. when you start selling eggs let me know! Those are some of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen. I must own a few.

speaking of male/female ratio - we have 16 buckeyes from 2 diff. sires. I was betting on mostly cockerels, but going by comb growth we have 7 cockerels and 9 pullets.

I need to buy a scale. Would like to use it for eggs, chickens and mail. Anyone have a recommendation? What do you have you like?

I really like that buff coloring a lot! Waiting to see what happens with these Lav ams I have in LD and may set some more of my EE's and try and hatch me a few of that color to add to the group.

We just bought a small digital scale at Aldi's that goes up to 11 pounds, does ounces/grams too. Has a nice metal plate so easy cleaning when we are thru. For $10 well worth it! But really any digital scale that goes over 10 pounds would work great.

(Now I can stop using my normal kitchen scale.

My DD wants to know why I won't mixed CeCe & Co. into the play pen bunch............ I KNOW I have more bantam Orps in here.

Aside of the chicks with peacombs and naked necks, I am not 100% sure which are bantam Orps.

I can't even remember how many I hatched from you.

So now I have to hold on to all black chicks for a bit... and they need to move out. I am waiting for my outside coops to dry out so I can move the occupants back iout and open a coop up in the barn.

I can see a few just from looking at this pic. I think you hatched 4 or 5 of 6 this last go round didn't you???
