Lonoke police Department just left my house and went over there to tell them they can be cited for a dog being a nuisance and they dog will be removed if it happened again. That in the country your dog is not required to stay on your property but cannot due damage or be a nuisance. He also said that he will tell them that my chickens are legal, period.

Great Cop. Kudos to the Lonoke Police Department.

I bet that woman is spitting fire right now.

I feel better.

Plus now I won't have to build a chicken coop next to her tennis court and in ground pool. Bahahahahahaha I guess they think we turned into white trash when we got chickens. Maybe she saw me take that picture as the Lonoke tornado deterrent.

My husband said I should check the mail in my old granny robe, carrying a chicken in the morning.

My hatch rate has been dismal but I have gotten some cuties these last couple of weeks

2 out of 17 Appenzeller Spitzhauben - these two hatched a day apart but very different in size because the younger has leg/feet problems and still wearing a boot and hobble.

I hatched one Aracauna (left) out of 2 from Ray n' Debi. I also hatched one of Debi's Ameracaunas (middle) - three others full grown but died in their shell. The last is the lone Blue Copper Maran (splash) that hatched from Feb. Swap eggs. Three others of these made it to lockdown but died in their shell. These three are best buds!
Hoping to hatch better at the end of the week - some were shipped and some are mine to check out fertility

Loved that picture! Glad the police are sticking up for your rights, too! You should get a chicken hat to wear while you are gardening or taking care of the chickens.

Neighbors can be so much fun! We have plenty of problems with neighbor dogs roaming here and that is why we can't free-range. We live in the country and it isn't allowed for your animals to roam but most people just let them go anyway.

What happened, Pauletta? I missed it, but here are some hugs...

I haven't been on much this week, due to a quick trip this weekend to PA. My Mom's brother died Sunday morning as he was getting ready for church. He was 59. They are sure it was a heart attack-it was extremely sudden. He felt fine when he woke up, but just like that he is gone. It was a huge surprise. His funeral is on Friday, so we are leaving Thursday morning and won't be back until Monday.
