My daughters chickens are spoiled rotten. She has 6 kids that don't eat, so all of the leftovers go to the chickens. They are the most beautiful, fluffiest, shiniest, happiest chickens you have ever seen.

I have surplus eggs too. I just microwaved a dozen for the girls. I scramble them and microwave till their done. Quick and easy! The shells just get crushed up. I don't even like eggs but I've found myself having quiche for dinner a lot here lately.

Making pound cake for Easter specifically because it takes so many eggs!

So last night I cooked 120 eggs for my chickens. I have another 20 dozen waiting. I need a better way to cook them. I tried hard boiled but then I have to wash them before I put them in MY pots, then peeling them... too much of a pain.
I have silicon pans, they are supposed to be non-stick. Ha, it even sticks if I use oil spray. So that is what I am doing now. Spraying non stick pans, cracking eggs, egg goes into the pan to be baked, shell gets dried to go into the garden. Too much work

When I boil eggs for the chickens I don't peel them. I just break up the shell as if I was going to peel and then use a big knife and cut them up in the pan. The chickens will eat the shell too. When I have quail eggs I don't want I usually keep them and give them to my nephew but I toss some to the orps and silkies that will eat them raw. It's like candy to them.

I just boil the eggs up and use a potato masher to lightly mash...shell and all. The chickens jump up and attack the egg buckets.

Potato mashers are terrific!

The only time they get eggs is when they've been dewormed, I can't stand to throw away the eggs for 10 days!!!

Otherwise, I never have extra eggs. The teachers at school nab them up quick, some parents got the word too and they're hooked. Course, I only have 16 laying right now. Grow chicks, grow. I like little chicks for about 36 hours, then I'm ready for them to be 6 months old. 50+ birds!

Great ideas! Thank you everyone! I am going to try everyones techniques, they are all better then what I was doing.

I admit it... I am a chicken hoarder.
Araucanas, Ameraucanas, Silkies, Marans, Orpingtons.
I used to have 24 breeds, So hard not to love them all!
