That picture doesn't do Joseph justice! He is a handsome fellow! How are the poults doing?

I have MF d'Uccles hatching today!

I also had my first egg explosion-thankfully it was just a quail egg that has only been in since Monday!

It really is hard to catch his colors with a camera. The poults and chicks are doing great - loving the hot weather! Oh, and eating me out of house and home, too. Congrats on the MF d'Uccles!

KYTinpusher, those are beautiful birds. The eyes on that third are so expressive!
Thank you! I can't wait to breed them and see what I get! (Don't tell DH I'm planning more chickens

I wonder if anyone could help this local high school kid I know? He's looking for guinea feathers (just a few, easily and cheaply mailable) sent to him ASAP for a school Agriculture project.(due next week=procrastinator!!! for shame!!!). Anything you can quickly send in the mail to him would be great!

"I need yalls help! I'm doing a project in ag on guinea fowl! I need feathers from guineas more of the rarer colors to show that guineas come in more than just pearl! I need them sent tomorrow or Saturday please!
Thank Yall!"

I just got some eggs from ochlockney ga and I can't figure out who they are from or why I am getting them, lol

The white ones have an A on them and the brown ones have an D/A

Anyone have any ideas? I must have claimed them or swapped for the but I have nothing in my notes that match. They are LF

Any help?

Me Me! They are Mottled Ancona and Dominique/Ancona.

PS you said you wanted a picture of the D/A chicks and I told you I didn't have any, guess what my broody hatched yesterday??? A pair of sexlinks, now I've hatched 2 roos out of about 20 chicks. I'll send you a pic after I get of work.

Here are the Olive Eggers I hatched from HenThymes. With just one hen, black, I thought one of the blue roosters was the easy choice to keep.... until they grew up!
This is Flapper, the OE hen. Her feathers are irridescent teal in the sun. She is incredibly soft and sweet, too.

This is Joseph. He is beautiful, but is in solitary confinement because he is one fiesty little bugger! and only 15 weeks old! His gold feathers shine 14kt and his black feathers are irridescent teal and purple in the sun.

These are the two blue OE roos.

So, what do you guys think of them?

Wow, what wonderful babies, thanks for sharing pics of them!!

I am going to say blue roo #1, why you ask??? Well blue over black will give you 50% blue chicks AND 50% black chicks, that way you get some more variety. I like the looks of blue1 over 2 from what I can see in the pics.
