PS you said you wanted a picture of the D/A chicks and I told you I didn't have any, guess what my broody hatched yesterday??? A pair of sexlinks, now I've hatched 2 roos out of about 20 chicks. I'll send you a pic after I get of work.

Just after I posted that I remembered who it was but I could not remember the breed. Mystery solved. They are big nice looking eggs, thank you so much

Yes I am in. Sounds like a wonderful idea! I will be gone Monday-Wednesday but I will be lurky from my Iphone. Going to to Gwendolyn to Branson. Okay I am going to keep reading so I can see the details. Sure m issed y'all these passed few days. So much yard work!

That is a great idea!! You can buy them at dollar general store and walmart. They are $15 each. But I hope to do some swapping tonight

Pauletta- I (at the urging of the DH) decided to use the Magic Mesh in my Hen house. The Nursery house has a door that leads to another run next door. Which I thought to use for my Speckled Sussex. I am too chicken to put these down at the big barn until we get better stuff set up. They are about 4 months or 5 now. I put it up, and within 24 hours they, smart birds that they are, have figured out how to go in and out of it. If I was not so thrilled at their genius, I'd be mad. LOL I am planning to add the velcro strips to it today. That should hold them in.
Anyway, it looks so cool in there I'll be stalking you for the other one. Or finding a place to order them. Thank you again for offering them!

To anyone thinking of using them in your houses... Do not try to put them up while wearing a patch over one eye. If you do, remember to take video as I would love to show my facebook buddies I am not the only "Graceful" one in America roflmao Seriously, it turned out perfect. Made much more space now that I do not have to worry about the spot where the door opens. and it clicks shut as soon as I walk through it. So if I have my hands full, I do not have to worry about dropping stuff to shut the door.

Oh yeah, these are like silkies, you have to keep an eye out for pasty butt for the first few weeks. I just love them!!! Let me know if you have room in the bator

And cuckoo marans coming from that chickenstock that presold tickets on byc..I bought some tickets and won!

Everyone should be sending my eggs on the 29th...when I get them all... the big bator is going to my aunts daycare for the children to watch! Ill cook them for a bit first and them zoom them over to her house 7 miles away when it gets to the last week because im sure those kids cannot wait 3 LONG weeks just sitting there watching! Lol

Mille Silkies is something I've been working on for a while Not really easy I must say....

I, too, think Mille Fleur Silkies would be the best! However, with a Silkie's feathering, it seems it would be almost impossible.
Sonew, you are also getting B/B/S Orps from me too, right?
I just hatched 10 d'Uccles yesterday-they are absolutely adorable and my favorite breed! I have 4 hens and I usually get 3 or 4 eggs a day from them.
