I sent you a box of some feed bags I had laying around here. I even sent you a couple of my Ferret food bags. Don't know if you can sew with them. But, I thought they would make neat little bags if you could. When I get more bags I will send them your way.

You'd be surprised what you can come up with. Feed bags are great for some people, but you'll want to come up with a few other things to keep from stalling the thread. Gold Feather Memberships, paypal deposits and magazine subscriptions are all popular things that you don't have to keep on hand. If you bake, sweets are popular too!

Jim, I'm so sorry about your eggs!!! I hope you get some strong, sturdy chicks that survive.

I am so sorry about your luck. I know whatcha mean, seems like when you really stack your bator something happens. I have recently bought 2 dozen German New Hampshire for me and my sister and I think I have checked the bators 10-15 times a day. And I know some people will say if you had a "........" bator you would not have to worry. But I still would because from batoring for over a year I have learned MANY many things can and sometime do happen.

Some would say your a few of your chicks may hatch?!?! Did you continue with them? I know that sounds crazy high temps but maybe some where in your bator you have a cooler spot and a few may survived. Big hugs and

I am just sickened. My main incubator was up to 115 degrees. I couldn't figure out why 2 Guinea keets died while hatching. I'll give them a few days then candle. The main eggs I'm sick about:

I had the same thing happens, I didn't believe the thermometers so I ran out to get a few more.

I did get a few chicks to hatch. I just kept candling and tossing the bad ones every few days. I still have a couple of the silkies from that hatch in my grow out pen.

Sorry to hear that, Jim. I had the same thing happen with the quail eggs you sent me.

I got a new LG incubator June 1 and used it for hatching. It went great for the first hatch. I cleaned it and plugged it back in, and put the quail eggs in it and it sparked. We checked it over and it seemed fine-the zip tie they use to hold the wires in place was too loose and slipped back, allowing the wire to get pulled tight and the element melted it a little. My hubby fixed it so it wouldn't slip again, and we went to town. We were gone for 2 1/2 hours and it was up to 123 when we got home! I turned the temperature dial all the way back and it wouldn't get below 109. We took it back and they exchanged it-but every single quail died. One zipped 3/4 of the way and died, none of the rest even pipped.
