Update: One of the co-worker has found out their home was spared from the fire, however several of their neighbors homes burnt to the ground. They feel so lucky but saden that their neighbors were not so lucky.

Look who arrived:


Shannon Thomas was born at 7:57 p.m. last evening. He weighed 9 lb. 3 oz. and is 22 1/4 inches long! Everything went well and we will be going home tonight, hopefully.

Please everyone keep the Colorado Springs area in your prayers. There is a terrible wildfire that pushed into the western portion of Colorado Springs yesterday afternoon. We have 32,000 people displaced and countless people who have lost their homes, of which I have two co-workers who likely lost their homes last night.

I have never seen such a large disaster. It is like a war zone.

You and your community continue to be in my prayers.

All-American Chick: I received the soaps last week. Thank you so much. BTW, that day was a no mail day! I love my PO, they always keep track of everything for me!

emvickrey: I received the angel yesterday in perfect shape. The way it was packed, I think it would have withstood a bomb blast.

Thanks, everyone. We came home last night at 10:00. I love my small-town hospital!

Seriously, there are 4 rooms in the baby unit-and they often go several days or a week with no babies at all. It was busy this time-one born Sunday, two Monday, and another yesterday. I could have stayed overnight, if I wanted to, but I wanted to come home.

This is baby number 5 for us-he made us a family of seven, so babymakes7 would be accurate. I can't change my user name again, though, since I did last time-only allowed to do it once.

I received eggs today from farmerChef, Heinz, and chiqita, a total of 49 eggs! My xacto knife and I got quite a workout. Still expecting 2 more boxes so I'm holding this setting until then. My summer hatch is going to be awesome, Thanks all!

Got my feed sacks today from 2hot2chicken,thank u ,but i am bummed out,i needed the game bird feed sacks,i have a ton of green...........the dog one is nice,do not have any like that.
