Ok I have to buy a live trap, I have a very hungry racoon that has killed or stollen 6 of my 10 babies and one is missing a wing and bald on top ( won't live) and I have to build a new baby home. the one I built did not work * imagine that* I would have killed it last night but hubby was sleeping and would not tell me where the gun was......I have a 38 special but thought that was over kill LOL

I am so sorry for your loss.

My DH caught a small raccoon trying to crawl into the roof vent of my greenhouse/coop last night! He thinks he got a bullet into it, but it got away. I guess I have to finally put the hardware cloth over the vents now. I would wait until it's 100+ degrees outside to do it!

Good thing I have those wonderful neck coolers - they work GREAT!

The rest of you guys need to stalk Kimisfishing to get some of them for this heatwave!

this animal thing is getting old.....start with 8.....lose 3 to hawk....buy 5 more......6 more die for no reason.....buy 11......1 dies......then racoon eats 6 or 7 more......I never was good at math LOL

Well... I have quite the assortment. Cochins, Polish, EEs, Icelandics, OEs, huge pumpkin EEs, ancona, some LF mixes, a couple of bantam mixes, and my own test batch of GLCs (new roo).

I am in DESPERATE need of Turkens & Showgirls/Bowties. For some unknown reason everyone keeps asking for those "so ugly they are cute" things...LOL Anyone have reasonably priced eggs or want to swap for some of my Silkie eggs from my SQ girls

Sadly, I report today that one of my co-workers received confirmation that her home was one of the homes lost to the wildfire on Tuesday. Very sad as she has a sister that was evacuated twice for the wildfire near Boulder and has been sitting on pins and needles for weeks over that. She is a single women with no children and lived alone so this is very tough on her. My other co-workers home was not damaged but had homes across the street that were a total lost.

That's terrible, corancher. I am thinking of your state every day. Bad irony that Florida was flooding and drowning while CO and other states were burning. So sorry.

will be thinking good thoughts for you all getting safe and getting some compensation, at least. not that it can really replace, but at least hopefully people will be able to move on.
