I don't remember how many eggs I set but I got 15 gunieas I think from corancher 4 were pied and one is blue? The rest I can't tell they are brown with stripes but some have different stripes.

Anyway it was a GREAT hatch!!! My 1st keets. Now hopefully my lone male will have a gf in a couple of months. At 1st I thought the blue one was a chicken from some mixed eggs I set until I looked closer at it.

Finally got a chance to catch up after being on vacation at the beach... Funny how I feel like I need a vacation to recover from the trip! The kids woke up at 6:30 each mornin, but slept til 9:00 the day after we got back!

So sorry to hear about the hardships many of you are going through! You are in my prayers!

Did my friends get their packages that I sent before I left? Wondering how the eggs traveled...

Had a very bad week so far. I lost 2 chickens on the first day of the heatwave and lost my only Bronze Peahen on the second day. Today (Monday) I went to take my little Emu girl out of the shed and put her in her large pen. I dropped her. I hit the side of the door and dropped her. She fell onto the metal feed pan on the floor. She broke her leg and unfortunately could not be fixed and I had to put her down. The Vet said some very nice things about her and said that this was the most painful thing she's ever done. It was her first Emu chick. She could not believe that the little one was not in shock from the leg. She said if she did not see the leg, she would've thought the bird was fine. I have been so depressed over this. If I did not drop her or left her in her cage she would be fine right now. I burried her inside her pen. I miss her so much, I cried all day. Here is her last picture at the vet's office:
