I bought eggs off of ebay, but only a couple hatched and those died....

But buying grown birds is definately the way to go. And yours are beautiful.

Did everyone that got lavander from me get it in a semi unwilted condition. I shure hope it was alive enough to get starts from . From all I read lavander is pretty easy to grow from starts it just takes a few weeks.

Mine made it just fine. I left something on here about it. I have them in my plant pot inside. They seem to be doing good.

I love Abe! What a great name for the two of them... I just picked up Betsy (Ross) and Florence (Nightingale). I love the name game!

Well just look at that black beard! He had to be Abe! Plus, I got them on an important historical date, so I went with the Lincolns! What kinds are Betsy and FLorence? someone on here had beautiful birds with black beards and I always wanted one so I could name it Abe! One of her coops burned down... who was that?

On the Orloffs-- Her name is Brenda, she has to get rid of most of her birds because her neighbor called code enforcement. I couldn't believe that THAT neighborhood didn't allow roosters or more than 3 hens, it's not even a real subdivision and it's surrounded by woods. She only had 4 mature hens and 1 rooster left and the rooster had to go, so I dunno if she could even send you eggs, I'll ask her. I don't even know if she's on BYC, I met her on FB.

Hey Guys, I am not gone.....just stressed about alot of things right now, I think I posted about the 8 dead babies and the 3 new polish. I am trying to get some things in life straight and I still have 1 swap to ship, it is in my car....that is a big step right now. LOL I will ship it tomorrow ( said that before) I am sorry I am such a wreck but sometimes it happens to me. They took me off my thyroid meds cause my dead thyroid is growing back so my world is kind a spinning me out of control. And with predators and a stupid husband it seems to just pile higher and higher at times like this, but it is getting better and I am still here lurking. I never turn the computer off and this is a MUST HAVE site to have up in a windo at all times. I will be back to my old self or better soon I hope.

Gosh, you guys have all been busy in this heat! Hubby was back in the hospital. He had a heart attack. His bypass grafts didn't take and they can't fix them. I will be selling a lot of chickens. Now to decide who goes and if any stay. I just got the Lav and Partridge Silkies going good, the Lav Ameraucana just started laying. Don't know how to pick who I want to keep. So much work and energy put into them.

Oh my, Hope he gets better soon.
