I kind of looks a little like a blister like maybe she got pinched there real hard. Did you pull out her fluff around it or was it already gone? Have you noticed the other chicks getting after her? You can see the fluid move when you press on it? If I was pretty sure it was a blister, I might puncture it with a needle to let the fluid out and let the healing begin.

Maybe some one else has another suggestion? Maybe you should post it to a different thread?

Thanks Im trying to get better pictures , I dont know it does look kinda like a blister but would a blister last a few weeks ? Im stumpped.. I post things here becuase you guys actually answer me most the time. THe last time Iposted in the medical part i never got an answer and it was an emergancy and I didnt do anythying to her fluff or feathers as far as I can tell there is non on the bump and the rest are kinda pushed away or raised away from it so it looks to have a bare spot

Ok I was just holding cookie and trying to take a picture but its not comeing out that well. On the back of her head she has what grows and seems kinda wart ish excetp that its smooth thin thin thin skin and filled with liquid but she has had it for a few weeks now it seems more permanant thats why I say wartish then it does like pimpleish or what not its hard to describe its just there and its kinda full but I can press it and it squishes down a little I never push hard. There isnt any irratation or skin issue no redness or dryness or weeping or anything and she eats drinks plays and pecks just like any other chicken. I will keep trying to get a picture of it its maybe the size of half a pea its hard to guage the size
Here are two of the best but still horrible photos , for some reason she thought I was trying to kill her or soemthing she is normally pretty docile but didnt like me mucking with her head tonight I was hopeing trying at night would mean she was sleepy and mellow :hmm

Could be another Chick beating up on it. Do you have any aggressive ones in with it or maybe ones that are bigger than her. I keep all of my serama separate from other breeds cause they are so much smaller and tend to get picked on. Not sure what it is hard to tell from the pic.

Just guessing here but probably an abscess from getting pecked or poked by something. If so, it'll open on it's own and then you can clean it or you can open it with sterile instrument and clean it. Yuck!

That will work, I"ll bring him to the swap.

Ok Great.

I went into the garage this morning to put some recycling in the container and looked in the 'bator with the flashlight...........two coturnix quail (are they called chicks or do they have another name like guineas and turkeys have?) from eggs I got from groundpecker and mrheinz77 have hatched. They are right on time!

Ok, morning rant.
Dear customes:
STRAIGHT RUN does not mean straight hens. IF I could guarantee the sex of these guys I would be charging you a lot more money! Also I am not the magic box fairy. If you are coming to buy 5 birds, have something to put them in.
(OK maybe I am the magic box fairly, but STILL)

I know I'm expecting people to know too much. I mean its easy to sex a kitten, and 90% of these guys are pets that provide a few eggs rather then farm birds, and people get attached. But its a silkie! you cant sex it unless you are both an expert and willing to kill a few by mauling them!

Id tell everyone that if I didn't think it would put them off chickens all together.
