If I had to guess, I'd say a bear.  A mountain lion would jump over your fence, a bear would come through it, tearing it off the posts or whatever.  Oh my gosh... please don't assume she can't make it.  Clean the wounds really well, if you have iodine, clean them several times a day but don't bandage, they need to be able drain. If she has torn skin, it would be better for her if you trim the wounds so they have clean edges... they'll heal better.  You can use human antibiotic ointment on her too but trim her feathers away so they don't stick to her wounds.  Bring  her in and keep her warm so she doesn't go into shock and then freeze tonight.  I know its late there already but I'm  hoping you've done this part, or that you will be getting online late tonight.

Blueberries have natural aspirin in them if you have any in your freezer.  Chop some up because they don't like the dark outside of the berry but the lighter inside invites them to try them.

As she is severely stressed, feed her some plain, unsweetened yogurt.  It's a situation like this that will allow the bad bacteria in  her intestines to get a good foothold on her and she'll be fighting a losing battle.

I use vetericyn spray for wounds, it works very good. If you can get the VF formula, Veternarian Formula, its double the strength as the one at a feed store.

I wass also thinking bear too when you said the fence was torn down

On a personal sad note I cannot offer any white Ameraucana eggs any longer...I waited two years to own some...I was blessed enough for a great friend from BYC that gifted me 4 gorgeous chicks last year...I watched them grow up to be the most amazing beautiful loving birds I have ever owned...two hours ago they were playing in their run....An hour ago they were brutally killed by ??? Their fencing ripped off of their run....I saw my one white hen CRYING YES CRYING running around...bloody missing clumps of feathers...I scooped her in my arms as I looked at the carnage left...Whatever it was I scared it off because my other babies were still warm..but gone

I stood frozen..snuggling my last sweetheart as she talked to me...as if to join me crying...My husband cleaning up the mess because he knew I couldnt do it...I kissed them each goodbye...I dont even have 1 egg of theirs I could hatch...I gave them away on here in the last few weeks and sold one batch I shipped yesterday...all 14 eggs...I dont know if my last girl will survive as she looks pretty bad;(
Can I ask a favor from those who hatched my white Am eggs...Please let me buy eggs from you when they lay??? I truly want the bloodlines from these sweethearts..I can honestly say they stole my heart...Im just so saddened.....

If I had some I would GIVE them back to you.

I have the most amazing friends that I met on BYC ....My one BYC girlfriend just hatched out some of my chicks yesterday she graciously said I could have them!!!..my other BYC girlfriend and her husband volunteered to go get them since they are on the way to my house and drive the 6 hours to me Well meet for dinner..(MY TREAT FOR SURE ) they will spend the night at our house and drive home in morning...October 12th I will meet the grandchildren and pray they are half as sweet as their parents!!! Yay for your survivor and Yay for little chicklets! It is amazing how even when you have alot of birds, individuals can steal your heart away.
