Bites, stings, and poisons.

Klenner has reportedly successfully treated black widow spider bites and bites of highland moccasins and rattlesnakes with 4,000 milligrams of vitamin C given every few hours around the clock with small amounts of calcium gluconate. Calcium appears both to increase the value of vitamin C and to decrease the sensitivity to pain. Although his patients were extremely ill, they made complete recoveries, some in as little as 38 hours after being bitten.
Calcium and huge quantities of vitamin C help to alleviate poison oak, poison ivy, and any allergy which causes a skin manifestation. Probably the poison from all forms of stings or bites, whether from Portuguese men of war, sting rays, scorpions, or from other animals or insects could be detoxified if sufficient vitamin C were taken. Pantothenic acid, however, should be immediately increased; and local applications of vitamin E or vitamin E ointment often reduces pain. When life is at stake, vitamin C and pantothenic acid should be given by injection."
