Sorry to hear ya'all have had such bad health issues. I had a friend that mistook indigestion for a heart attack also. DH thought he was having anxiety attacks till he had a full blown heart attack then he drove himself to the hospital like an idiot. Thank goodness he made it there. We had 1 car at the time and he just got in it and drove to the hospital before I knew he was gone he was there. I had to find a way to the hospital. He was sent to a better hospital and they did that test where they go thru the groin and found a very narrow vein that was just that way. It wasn't clogged or anything so they did nothing for him but send him home. The doc told him to come back to his office in 2 weeks and they would set up for a stint. Well, once DH is out of the hospital he's not going back so nothing has been done. The doc originally told us that if he finds anything he'll either stint it or clean it out while he's in there. Well, DH wasn't going thru that again.

He's been ok since but i'm sure he's had little episodes because of the signs he's had. His stubbornness will do him in one day.

On another note. My MIA box has arrived today. I got the gloves, book, candle and an extra item, the plastic egg carton. Thank you Pauletta.

Interesting reading all your stories about heart attacks... I am an RN and I work in cardiology =) I hear these stories everyday... One of the things I teach my patients is that one of the things about heart disease, usually anyway, is that you can do something about it, the majority of the time it has something to do with environment: ie diet, exercise, weight loss, smoking, etc... As individuals we can make changes with that stuff, and they can help A LOT, even people with genetic tendencies can delay their genetics by taking care of their bodies.... The Lord made our bodies amazingly that way, it can heal itself and delay genetic stuff by taking care of it....

Good luck and many prayers to those of you with this challenge in your life!

I had to insist that my DH go to the hospital. He didn't think he was having a heart problem. Sorry to hear he is having a problem don't let him ignore it. Threaten him that if he doesn't go you are going to call an ambulance and they can take him.

The funny thing is I was thin, I was a vegetarian, and very active when I had mine. The Doctors felt that because being a veggie I ate more carbs then most people.
My pulse and blood pressure has always been low.
When they did a risk factor for heart disease on my husband it was zero. Even after the bypass. His cholesterol is 100.

Oh, that's frustrating!!! My docs would probably say it was stress, or genetics, or the carbs, sorry to hear that!!

Ok guys, I have a question do any of you guys need to renew your magazine subscription. My kids are selling magazines for there school and they also renew magazines as long as it is in there catalog. If you want to renew I can renew it for you through our school and it helps the school also. You could paypal the money and I will just write a check for the magazines. I would need your address and name to fill out the form so the magazine is renewed and getting sent to you.

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And thank you soooooooo much for all the love and prayers for me and my husband. It has been a crazy few weeks. For those of y'all not on my FB. Mike was to get stints,(super easy...come home the next day) but ended up with a triple bypass and a few days later had a stroke. He still has 100% and 70% carotid artery blockages but that was the least of his worries. He stayed in the hospital 13 days and he has been home for 12 days. He finally is able to walk with a cane but assisted. Though I am crazy proud and amazed with his progress. Everyday is a new day and a blessed day. He is a strong man, that's for sure! He laughs that he is a living member of the zipper club now..... LOL Needless to say we both quit smoking September 10th and never thought twice about cigs since. They actually disgust me and I am ashamed I took our lives so casual.

I read through some of your past posts about hearts and health. Wanted to let you know he had 100% blockage from one artery, 100% from another front and 85% rear. If that makes sense. LOL AND STILL had the blood pressure of a 16 year old track star the day of surgery. They also said he had massive heart damage from multiple past heart attacks. He NEVER knew of any except of course the most recent. Plus he got a men's physical every year. So this stuff is very hard to tell unless you are specifically looking for it. I suppose everyone is different but monitoring your blood pressure and cholesterol is not enough! It's a start, but not enough. Any who....we still have good days and bad days but at least we have them right? <Big Smile> Just send me a
