Renee (love your signature quote!) - I haven't had that type of quail, but from what I understand, that number can be all together if they're raised together, but probably you'll end up selling a couple males.

Coturnix can be kept in one pen together as long as you don't keep too many males. I hatched 19 total, 10 girls and 9 boys. Had to remove 7 boys, it was just too much, now there are two boys with 10 ladies and everyone seems very happy.
