I really would love some lavender starts but its so hot and dry here i'm afraid they would just bake. How well would they do in a flower pot then transfer them to the ground when it cools off? I may mine them but not sure just yet.

I have raised lavender in a pot before and it does really well. It transfers easy just don't do it during a bloom or you will probably stress the plants and they will wilt the blooms otherwise it works fine.

Mine on the lavender. see my siggy for offers. No eggs right now. Their a bunch of slackers. All the hens do is sit in the nest. Next their gonna want TV's installed so they have something to watch while they sit on their big fluffy butts..

I have never taken starts from my plants befor so it will be a learning experance for me but unless that one part about this type of lavander is senstive it should do ok , IM a black thumb I can kill just about everything but I got 6 little tiny things at a freadmyer garden center sevral years ago they each had like a couple stems and that was about it and I planted them right out side my kitchen window and only one of them died . I waterd them in the begining but after sevral months I didnt even do that regularly and now I dont water them at all and I live in a place that its not unheard of to get to 110 in the summer time . Now these things are huge. So if I gather the starts right Im gonna guess they should do pretty well. Thats why IM offering so many starts cuase I want to make shure I get at least a few of them right.

Oh and I wanted to let you know I got 23 jumbo browns and at least 8-10 bobs I will have to count them when I clean out the brooder cuase there in there with chukar chicks and they all run aroung and its hard to count them acurately the little bobs are adorable by the way so tiny .

Ok, I got 6 bbs silkie eggs to add to my offer. I'm not getting many eggs right now. I have 3 or 4 sizzle eggs too. Either take the 6 bbs or 3 bbs and 3 sizzle.

Are those quail the ones you got from me? I'm glad you had a good hatch. I usually count them by the eggs I remove from the bator and when I clean the brooders. It's impossible to count them otherwise. They're so busy all the time.
