I think that every culture has its variation. I was in a Polish restaurant when I got introduced to the version with cabbage.

Thanks for the cabbage ideas, I have one in the fridge. Any more recipe recommendations to use it up quick? I'm the only one who 'likes' cabbage around here but I don't mind force feeding it to the family if it's something new and unfamiliar.
