Looks wonderful. What is the sauce...or cheese?

Thank you.
Here is an ingredient list. The sauce is incredible. I've eaten it on pasta when I had leftover.

The first three ingredients below the mussels is for steaming them in, then that is strained and put into the sauce made with the rest.

2 lbs of cleaned mussels in the shell
3/4 cup of dry cider (I use dry ale)
3 sprigs of fresh thyme
2 cloves of garlic crushed

6 tsps of butter (I think she meant TBS)
3 shallots finely chopped
1 stick of celery finely chopped
3 tsps of curry powder (I use sweet)
3 tsps of all purpose flour
(these next two are whisked in at the end before serving)
1/4 cup of regular cream
1/4 cup of mayonaisse

handful of fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Sounds like a nice sauce. I think she might very well have meant 6 tsps of butter. 6 TB is nearly a whole cube! But who knows. I think all in all I used more than a cube of butter when I made the crepes the other day. It was a surprising amount, but of course everything is better with butter. lol

6T of butter just feels right though

The person who gave me the recipe is from South Africa, so for all I know they don't even use Tablespoons or teaspoons.
But 3T of curry would certainly be a lot in my book, so who knows. It does take the sauce a while to thicken, so maybe the flour is off, too. Maybe she meant Tbs for everything, maybe it is tsp, but it sure is good. You could serve this on any fish. Maybe just replace the liquor with clam juice.
