This is just....not logical....hot air does not 'fry' food, it bakes it, right?

Correct. My research (limited to today) is saying it's basically a countertop convection oven. That would explain all the oil peeps use to coat the "air fried" food of choice.

My reading up on them is showing results that basically anything you would cook in the big oven can be done in the "air fryer".

My oven bakes normal or convection I was sceptical but determined I love the convection but mine is gas

Mine is a standard non convection heat the whole house kind of oven.

Always had that thought convection was goofy now that I have one I love it .. I have always had gas ovens hate electric

That's what I thought......silly fad/marketing....SMH.

A revved up, and larger, toaster oven.

Convection oven would be neat tho, my aunt had one way back in the day, she had 3 ovens.

Yup. Toaster oven meets the old "set it and forget it" rotisserie oven.

My kitchen is big but not enough for three ovens

I made fried and breaded cauliflower, and mushrooms. Also fried some of my fake meatballs. Husband also had a cheddar brat.

I don't mind at all. It's on sale at Costco this week....til the 15th I think.

...that's actually a tiny cornish game hen in there.
