Whatcha Making for Supper?

homemade pizzas as per request: regular/extra cheese for hubby, granddaughter, gluten-free crust/sausage for SIL, sliced mozzarella, tomato, basil for me, DD, and DS..apple crisp

Can I join? Made my own mess last night. Was making gravy with corn starch and water hand dropped the mix all over one counter .. Went all over the place BF stepped in to clean is bless his soul ..

I freeze some, but I would never have thought of making it into pot pie! I'm just beginning to learn how many things I thought were unfreezable really are.

You are right. I never knew you could freeze stuff like milk. During the grocery shortage in 2020 I got a chest freezer and now I rotate stuff out every week. Not gonna get caught without staples again. Learning so much.

Easy peasy dinner tonight...chicken salad and an apple.

Well, I want you guys to know that there are some days you should just stay out of the kitchen. While baking the cabbage casserole, I thought I would go ahead and make the leek and potato soup- well- first, I accidentally turned the burner to high and almost burned the leeks as they were softening in butter. Transferred to a different pan. When I added the potatoes, realized the pan was slightly too small, transferred to a bigger pan. All went well until I put it in the food processor to cream. there was a split in the plastic bowl and the liquid started draining everywhere down the counter to the floor. I grabbed my roasting pan and put the bowl in it, got out my small mini chopper and used that to cream the soup, put a bag in the freezer and made a bowl up for tomorrow and put in the fridge. Have just finished cleaning the kitchen and I am whipped. The cabbage is fine, but I feel more like I have earned ice cream.

I think it’s must have been going around ladies. I was mixing something in the blender and didn’t check that the rubber ring was on the correct aide, grandson puts the dishes away. Next thing I knew I had hot broth running all over the counter and onto the floor.

Last night was In N Out. Cheeseburger with grilled onions, shared fries with hubs, and a chocolate shake.

I think it’s must have been going around ladies. I was mixing something in the blender and didn’t check that the rubber ring was on the correct aide, grandson puts the dishes away. Next thing I knew I had hot broth running all over the counter and onto the floor.

Is there a vaccine for this?? Tonight having left over cabbage casserole. The chickens may enjoy the leftovers after that.
