I was told high cholesterol is mostly genetic. Most cholesterol comes from our own liver producing it and not from our foods. Things like stress can also alter cholesterol production. A few months ago my cardiologist entered my results of a number of blood tests in a “cholesterol app” on his smartphone and told me he had no clue how the results said I was fine. I use “Flora” on toast and butter for cooking, just in case he mis-typed my resultsI was told high cholesterol is mostly genetic.
