Whatcha Making for Supper?

Making breakfast buttermilk by Krustez pancake mix.
Sausage and bacon scrambled eggs.
We made breakfast burritos. Had leftover thin sliced sirloin from the Pho last night that hadn't been cooked and got inspired. Sautéed with some onion, bell peppers, jalapeno finished them off nicely.

Trying a new recipe I found in a magazine tonight. It's called Mar I Muntanya from Catalonia. So what is that? 🤔 Basically shrimp and meatballs in a tomato based sauce with ground almonds and very dark chocolate. It sounds similar to a Mexican Mole, so we should like it.

For the meatballs, I'm going to make use of the leftover Greek ones in the freezer. I love incorporating leftovers into a completely different meal. I don't think the slightly different seasonings and herbs will make a huge difference.

I've got a tummy ache :(

I know what I wanted for supper. And I went to the local store and bought it. But I also picked up a quart of very chocolatey milk...

I have been dying for some milk ever since the refrigerator quit, but the town store switched brands and I don't like its taste, so have to go into Walmart for my milk. And I was waiting until I needed a few other things, which never happened.

So I've been going through milk withdrawls for the last couple days big time.

Ten minutes after getting home that qt of chocolate milk was gone.

And my appetite for supper with it.

But it's only seven, so I might still make something.
Satisfied your craving. I hope you are feeling better.
I do sometime have some craving for milk stuff like you. I ate a whole lot of cheese, drink a liter of milk and then it was over. I think might be we need calcium like our chickens?😄

We live in the country where grocery store is 45 min away. So, I plan my meals weekly. That way I can do the shopping once a week. :)
Yesterday was Saturday, my refrigerator had 3 pieces of burgers frozen, a few potatoes, 5 olives, 1/4 of a purple cabbage and eggs. Grocery shopping time so the walk around....

I did not get inspired from my grocery walk, we end up had the burger for dinner.😄

I imagine living far away from the shopping centre is peaceful and void of traffic noise. I am living in the city so I am surrounded by little shops, big shopping centre..etc, busy traffic and noise.

Grocery shopping is done 1 a week with me. I do not eat meal plan because I eat what I feel like eating at the time so I cook that. I did try meal plan in my early 20 when I was working and studying at the same time. I found that I did not eat it and I ate something else instead.

I crave carbs, too :D
That premade chocolate milk was pretty strong. Stronger than I make it for sure.
But I also picked up some half and half, so it was good to have dairy product in my morning coffee again this morning.

I'll hit Wally World tomorrow early and get some real milk and other things.

So for tonight?
Fried pork chops and corn ribs. Maybe a smashed redskin, too.

I think if I lived in town I would often be in the grocery store looking for impromptu inspiration. Meanwhile, this works for me. No stress. And I like everything I cook. 😁
