Whatcha Making for Supper?

Jelly Roll Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas and brown gravy.

When the kids were small our son wouldn't eat anything that looked mixed up to him. I would make up the Meatloaf mixture, spread it out on wax paper, put shredded cheese down the middle, roll it up like a jelly roll and put it in the loaf dish to cook. He loved the "looks" of the jelly roll and never complained about it being mixed up.

Meat pie at the fast food stores

My mind just blew up
How convenient. I wonder if they are available frozen at Walmart?

I really need to rebuild my grill one of these days. But in the meantime I'll keep working on cooking steak in a pan. I almost used CI, but changed to stainless at the last minute because I liked the size better.

In the world of BBQ/smoking, that's pretty much what a fattie is. Ground sausage of your choice with a filling, rolled up and put on the smoker.

Every time I make the langoustine soup I am amazed at it. But really, the only difference between making this broth and any other is the lobster shells and the lobster bouillon. (I used Lobster Better Than Bouillon). It is an amazing tasting soup. I think I might incorporate the lobster BTB in my Seattle Salmon Chowder next time I make it. Might be good.

:drool very tasty. Do you have it with pepper sauce or BBQ sauce? I thinkpepper sauce is better
I cook steak on a pan still.

I also grill steak on a pan. I use an iron skillet. Works great. I have a BBQ but I refuse to learn how to use it, and DH doesn't seem interested. lol
Iron skillet will give steak that texture like on the BBQ, but without the burn.

I have ceramic cooktop so it does not have enough heat for the iron skillet. I like cooking with gas, faster and food taste better, but we do not use gas.

I learned to cook steak on cooking tv, just stainless steel pain, a bit of oil and butter, cook both side, then put on plate to cool, it actually turn out really good, perfectly cook.

I don't like cleaning of the BBQ after, too much work😄
