I used to love my store's fried chicken, but they changed something in the breading and I did not like it last time. I will miss it. It was handy and it was good.

Believe it or not, Winlock's IGA has the best fried chicken deli around.

Dang, I'm going to have to go get some now. It's been a while.

Well, we are planning on having prime rib for Christmas, so we just went to FM to pick up the one we ordered, on sale for $9.77/lb. I thought I read they also had ribeye roast on sale for $7.77/lb. I was going to pick up two of those for the freezer.

All I can say is, it's an easy time of year to get distracted and I looked in the bag when I came home and it turns out I bought 3 prime ribs. I did get the sale price for all three, and they were supposed to be limited to 1 per customer at that price. Dodged a bullet there!!

I guess if we want a ribeye, we'll just have to cut the bones off. The one we ordered was cut and tied for us, but no big deal to do that ourselves if that's the way we want to go with the other two.

Sigh...I can't decide if that was a good or bad mistake. lol

I might be looking for some creative variations on this cut.

Grilled steak with Béarnaise sauce, spinach steamed with garlic and topped with diced tomatoes in a balsamic vinaigrette. Vanilla ice cream with mini chocolate chips later.

I bought some sea scallops today, so probably those along with some lemon pasta tonight.
