Whatcha Making for Supper?

Chicken Tacos and mixed veggies for dinner tonight LORD JESUS willing! I'm very thankful our oldest loves to cook so she is going to make the tortillas, and I am also thankful I have meat already cooked for it!
I rarely cook meat from scratch when I'm making tacos. It is generally what I do with my leftovers. That's what is so great about taco day.

Now if I could just get someone else to make my tortillas for me. :hmm

Looks like I'm having soup.
I thought I was unthawing chili, or maybe a tomato sauce, but I forgot I froze the leftover liquid from the cioppino I made a few weeks back.

I'm pretty sure I have some Snow's clams in the pantry. And some pasta, shells or something, would be nice to round it out.
Along with some garlic bread.

Sounds yummy! I had cioppino for lunch! Went to Anthony's on the bay of the Puget Sound in Olympia. Quite a treat. We don't have restaurants like that around here. lol

Do you make corn tortillas?
I wouldn't mind a TNT recipe for corn tortillas. Especially for a smaller quantity.
I do make them and I use Masa Harina, one brand is MaSeCa, which you can buy in any grocer, including the ones around me! Basically follow the directions on the package, but there is a certain feel to it and you need a tortilla press, very inexpensive on Amazon. I suggest watching a video or two first on Youtube. I can't get the video I wanted to share in English, but Try this one.
This guy says you need a comal, which I have, but you can feasibly use your cast iron skillet, but make sure it is not oiled.

Like all recipes you can adjust the quantities to make as many or as few as you like.

Oh, and if you fry one of these tortillas, as in Tacos Dorado, it will melt in your mouth!

crab stuffed salmon. baked butternut squash and mashed potatoes
Oh my...I love crab stuffed salmon! I used to be able to buy a great one at Costco, but they don't make it anymore. So sad. But I did buy their crab today and I do have salmon, so I can make my own I suppose.

Meanwhile, quite jealous of your dinner!

I've got the press, and watched a few videos... saved some... I'll pick up some fresh Masa Harina and give it a whirl. I didn't realize the bag had instructions. I wasn't interested in making torts at the time, lol.

I just hate wasting stuff, and sometimes all I can find of Mexican yellow corn taco shells is a 50 pack.

So I still had some frozen calamari, and some cilantro, a can of Snow's chopped clams, and some shells... so...

I was pretty happy with it.
I also made some garlic bread.
