Whatcha Making for Supper?

I love hamburger on tacos with catsup! Actually, when I do that, I add cheese, pickles, tomatoes, onion and lettuce. A burger on a tortilla. That's what my mom made when I was a kid. They are actually really good. Whenever I make tacos with burger now, I'm so tempted to make one that way.
That sounds good!

So the ground beef isn't seasoned with taco spice?
Oh no, just salt and pepper. A regular burger in a tortilla. But, fried. The tortilla must be fried. I fry it with the browned meat in it. Let us know if you give it a try. I'd like to hear what you think of it.

W take it a step further, or rather, we eliminate a step, and make burger bowls. They start with just ground beef, usually browned with onions and garlic. From there, everyone adds whatever they want - tomatoes, lettuce, burger fixin's, refried beans, whatever's left in the fridge. Sometimes we put it on bread or a tortilla, but we usually just toss in some tortilla chips. It's a fast, easy, fun way to get custom meals without being a short-order cook. Burger bowls were the most requested meal whenever my kids had their teenage friends over - and they're still a goto now that everyone's on their own schedules.
Which reminds me - a bit of browned ground beef (and maybe some chicken) are a good idea for this storm prep. Just what I need, something to add to the final storm prep to-do list. Zheesh! .

That sounds good, @ValerieJ .
Like smash taco burgers, but with loose meat like a taco. These got folded up like a taco with hamburger ingredients inside.

I saw a recipe a couple weeks back I've been meaning to try. It's a tomato tart. I just got back from picking up the maters. That will be for dinner.

For lunch it's a smash burger and some rice and succotash from the other night.

Oh, that is all dependent on if the pastry dough comes out. I've only made it once before and it was by hand. I'm trying a different recipe and halving it because I only have a small food processor. I only need enough for the bottom crust anyway.
