Another new recipe to try, Black Bean Bolognese. The black beans are not actual beans but the Asian black bean garlic sauce. An adventurous dish for sure. To go with it I'll sauté some asparagus in soy sauce. And a salad, of course.

I made that once. It's only for bacon lovers.I found a new recipe to try yesterday, too.
But it requires lasagna sheets and even the local Walmart doesn't carry them. So it means a run into the city.
Bacon lasagna![]()

Awesome! Wish our local grocer had those things. I had to order my Nori on Amazon. But, I'm in Washington, so I get most things by the next day. What happened to my local grocery store?
I walked in there, just to see, and dang if they didn't have lasagna sheets. Blew my mind.
I also noticed some Italian pastas and artisan bread. And Nori! Not that I eat sushi and seaweed, but in a small farm town grocer... who do they think they are selling to?
But darn right I showed my support and bought some lasagna sheets for the bacon lasagna. Along with the rest I needed.
Unfortunately, I started a project that I became fixated on finishing just to get it done and over with. And I am chillin' right now. Supper may just be green olives and Tito's![]()

Looks good! Who needs bread? That looks great as it is!I must have looked like a wild eyed child seeing all this new stuff on the shelves
So I guess I had to cook something. I wasn't doing anything else worthwhile.
So I made sausage, peppers, onions, garlic and Italian seasoning.

No buns in the house though, so I plated it on some Pepperidge Farms oatmeal bread with stone ground mustard on it.
