I have a buff orp. that is about eight months old now and still nothing. Comb and wattles still kinda small. Very big and pretty, but no eggs. She eats 16 perc. pellets like the rest. To stew or not to stew-that is the question.

Some hens will not lay this time of year. Delayed laying is often seen in larger fowl. Techinacally she is not mature until around 1 year. I would wait and see what she is doing around March.

My buff brahma that was hatched the end of April is still not laying So it takes time.

Out of 16 brahma hens, I have two that are not yet laying and they are 8 months, 1 week old.
