Whatchagot Swap - Plants, Eggs or ? **PLEASE READ 1ST POST FOR RULES**

i agree with both of u completely. i have always been an honest trader and send extras stuff with every trade but if i'm late sending or whatever i always add a nice surprise bonus as a thank u for the patients and understanding so an even better bigger better trade is sent to make up for it. unfortunately most r not like that and i don't understand why. this is the only forum i have not recieved a swap or trade out of about 600 of them easily in the last 3 years, that's sad if u ask me cuz most r very honest people but i do understand things happen and life gets in the way sometimes.

that said i have about 4 people who have not sent me my swaps and 1 trader who has not sent me a trade. some will not even reply back to me now. it's not only disapointing due to some where for gifts but urks me cause i put out alot of money out to ship over $100+ in shipping easily not counting the loss on what i sent and i know many others r in the same boat. all but 2 of my trades r out but THEY WILL get shipped asap.

i still owe kelly the divinity and just sent a reply back to u of what happened, personal problems got in the way of that one and weather but as promised u will get extras yummies also and i haven't forgotten either of u.

the other one i owe buff brahma eggs for. i'd have to check pm's to see who but at first they stopped laying, then moulting so it was a delay. when i had them to ship like 2-3 different times she had bators full or to hot to ship or i got no replies back even when i offered another breed. i now have sold off all my flock as of today of brahmas due to downsizeing for winter i waited as long as i could. if the person i owe them to wants another breed rather than send 6 eggs i'll send a dz of their choice and they will still get their eggs it is not a prob i just need to know what she wishes me to do and what she wants instead of the brahmas.

i think a thread of items not recieved should be opened as a friendly reminder to please ship out asap with who was to send and what the items r, if swaps r not made good on then yes i agree they shouldn't be allowed to participate in futer ones. i also think a new not so long swap thread should be opened to lesson the confusion, JMHO.

Could there be a monthly whatcha got swap like the egg ones? It all really goes too fast for me, but I'd like to try some time? I'm willling to risk it, and I'm not a bad egg

And to me, there should be a thread to help people find out where their stuff is, who are still waiting for their swap items....it only seems fair....if people are willing to put their name out there to get things, they should be willing to have people know they arent coming through on their end of a deal, too. Or it can give them a chance to explain if theres been some unforseen circumstance...Either way, it should be addressed.

i think that would be a great idea to do them mthly from first day of mth till last day and put a time limit to ship like a week or something along those lines. include rules at tops of swap thread. i think it would cut down on alot of probs and we can and will get through this together we just all need to work together is all.

the swaps then could be monitored more by the hosts and they wouldn't pile up with so many posts that there is less confusion as well as the next mth swap would carry the names of those who don't follow through so they r not allowed to swap further till obligations r met, i don't think that in any way is unfair to ask.

i know i have not sent 2 of my swaps but like i said sometimes life just gets in the way, i've had to take care of home first due to recent losses due to deaths but i've never not sent a trade and always made it right if needed too. swaps and trades r based on trust and honesty, it's not so much the loss or the money but they r to be fun, to get something new and best of all to get to meet and make new friends. NOONE should EVER be left out period.

u r right if someone is willing to put their name up to take an item they should step up to the plate to explain what happened, it's the least we can do in all honesty even if it's a pm to let the recievers know to keep them updated.

I think monthly swaps is a great idea, too.
But I know I probably won't swap anything until after Christmas. Money is all going towards making things for the holidays right now.

Just a quick note to everyone on this great thread! I am SOOO glad to see it is still going!

I am REALLY sorry to those I still owe to. Between non-laying hens, bad luck, then the fire I just haven't been able to keep up my end of it. PLEASE, those of you that I still owe, REMIND me in the spring, or maybe even in just a couple of months. All my records of what I owed was burned up in the house so I don't even know who I owe anymore.....

We are hoping to be in a house within a couple of weeks so maybe I will have internet soon - right now I have to steal a couple of hours a week at the library to use their computer so I don't get a chance to check in here often.

Again, THANK YOU to everyone for making this such a fun thread! And I SWEAR i will make good on my owed swaps just as soon as I can!!

There are probably a few dishonest folks here and there, but I'll bet for the most part people are not into the Swaps to make a fortune on this stuff!!
We're supposed to have fun and trade a few things we might not need or get things we would like to have or find useful? I promise I wont offer something I cant deliver??

How are we gonna get this thing going, it sounds great to me! Unless it gets too confusing and goes so fast...thats why I quit going to auctions...I brought home the wrong stuff, turns out I was bidding on the next items, not the things I thought??
