It does at my house!!

Try out the cheap 5 for $1 ramen noodles. My chicks think they are worms and go absolutely nuts for them.

I gotta try that cricket thing. Sounds like fun

Instead of thinking of the clovers in your front yard as weeds, think of them as chicken treats, thats what it do.
All my Chickens LOVE clovers. When i mow my lawn i go around the clovers and pick them and hand feed them to my chickens. My 3 week old ones go absolutly crazy for them as well as my 11-12 week ones and adult birds..

Ive even planted clovers in their pin and i like to listen to the exited clucks and cackles they make when they find a newly sprouted clover.

make sure if you feed ones not access to bare earth with grit.

I've never heard of anyone feeding thier chickens meat..
Your Grains (corn, wheat, milo) for a snack, your full nutrition feeds,(chick starter, or for older birds layer pellets, crumbles)
and for treats,(veggies,bugs,grasses.)

Mine love peanuts, cooked rice and budgie seed.

Not all at the same time, but having said that, i see on harm in giving it at the same time.

When I am weeding my flower gardens, I pull up clumps of sod and throw into the pen. They love to scratch through it. It is especially good when I am starting a new garden. I skim the topsoil and sod right off and throw it in. I don't use pesticides so it's safe. I also throw in leaves and grass clippings from the mower. Look under rocks and boards for worms, slugs and grubs. In they go!! I give mine broccoli, corn on the cob and romaine lettuce regularly. Merry

I am getting them some goodies today and start on a routine of healthy treats. right now only my two cornishX come to eat out of my hand...they are the friendliest of the gang...the other guys run away......but I will start bringing them some goodies and see if I can bribe them to be my friend!
