What's a good high ethic job?

I really want to say pastor but everytime someone starts preaching at me I check my wallet.

Good Luck!

ANY job, from porta-potty cleaner to CEO of a major corporation can be a "high ethic" job. The ethics rest with the person, not the employment. If you honestly desire to work around people who hold themselves to a high ethical standard, you may have to do some research to find somewhere you may fit. If YOU hold YOURSELF to a high moral standard, you bring your ethics to the job, regardless of the ethics of those around you.

Within most industries, there are companies or departments with higher (or lower) ethics. I've worked in the mortgage industry for over twenty years. I've worked in offices where the level of ethics wasn't as high as it should have been, and I left. I currently work for a company, and, more specifically, in a department where I am comfortable with the standards of my management and coworkers. It makes a huge difference.

As if there weren't any power hungry people in healthcare in the world. I used to work for a group of surgeons, I know. What's the difference between God and a surgeon? God doesn't think he's a surgeon.

Yup with you guys, gotta bring it with you, the special people are everywhere, and it takes a lot of work, perserverence, and stubborness to find an office/working environment to fit. And if you don't, take yourself out of it. Don't be like me, sticking with a job when the principals' principles go bad. My health, family, health and professional standing took a big hit at a company I should've quit (and maybe even reported).

Stay at home parent and spouse hasn't been listed yet! Now there's a job that takes infinite strength of principle!

If that bother's you, then I suggest you work on your internal attitude, as power hungry, backstabbing, unscrupulous people are found everywhere. It is part of the human condition.

Years ago I learned of a concept called "leadership from the middle of the pack." Look it up, I humbly recommend it.

Yep. (hey Daveroo!)

while i'm not familiar with exactly what he's recommending, you can choose to be the example of what you want to see. there is no profession where you'll find only good people doing the right thing. but you can work within yourself to do the right thing, and focus on the good. you can be the person who turns around the bellyachin', or who says 'nope i'm not going to be involved in that', and who sets a standard of decency and hard work. if your integrity is high you will start attracting others who are the same, the 'baddies' will start to recede.

but there is no use trying to find the 'perfect' place.... there will always be an unscrupulous co worker, the boss that takes credit for your work, the naysayers, and haters. and if you dont work FOR them - they end up being your customers! yikes!

focus on what is good, noble, praiseworthy, admirable. fix your eye on these things and hold yourself up to the standard you'd like to see in others.

good luck!
