I used to say I loved to little giant digital still air. It did great. For about half a year. Then, just when I had my only Serama eggs in it, 11 to be exact, it broke in the middle of the batch. The thermometer thing said it was 124.7 degrees, and it was ice cold inside. Needless to say the eggs didn't hatch, and I need a new incubator.
I think I want circulated air.
I definitely want one that will last much longer than that one did.
One a standard egg turner will fit in
And most importantly, reasonably priced. I'm just a hobby farmer, raising Seramas and bantam Cochins, hatching about a batch a month.
I need something that will work, and not cost me an arm and a leg. I am willing to spend a bit for a good bator, but not if there's something just as good for cheaper.
So, everyone post your favourite incubator, the pros and cons, and, preferably, an approximate price. I know there's lots of different opinions, but I'm hoping there will be a bit of a common opinion so I will have some idea what to go for. I'm hoping to have a new, good incubator by the first week in March when I usually start hatching.
Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated!
