What's a modest home upgrade with a high return on quality of life?

Had a hard time on mobile replying to the above quote so quoted it separately:

I try to remind people that in the event of power outage, the food in their fridge and freezers can be claimed on their homeowners. Obviously this isn't worth if for most with a deductible typically around $500 in the states. But if you just filled it, especially if you're willing or able to itemize, the items are covered and can prevent a bigger financial hit.

Bugzooka.

You have the option to set them free. No batteries. Sucked up about 50 "harvestmen" from the chicken pen. Very satisfying.
Did you release them? They are really good for the environment. They are omnivores that eat decaying matter and small bugs and they will actually eat mites. Obviously they won’t control a large population of them but it is still cool in my opinion

Yes, we dump them 100 feet away. I'd leave them be, but the pen is literally infested and I can't handle things with extra legs. 😬

Maybe someday. Still recovering from losing over half my flock. The remaining ones have zero interest in these walking seeds, so Bugzooka it is.
Yeah I read through a decent bit of your flock thread and i saw how hard it’s been with these ones. I’m so sorry for all the losses and issues you have had :hugs
