Whats a Silkie rooster worth???

Asian people actually LOVE the Silkies for meat. Around here a nice Silkie roo goes for $25. You just need to find the market. If you have a lot I would find a local Asian market and put up a sign

A man I work with was just discussing with me the benefits of eating foods that are black, and when I told him about my silkies being black skinned, he got really excited. He said I should be eating them. I think there could be info on the internet about it, if you investigate. Perhaps the Asian people know a secret. Maybe we should be eating more silkies?

I've never eaten one myself. Not to say I wouldn't try it some day.

Wow! I just read the article that Florida Chick posted on eating silkies. I had no idea!

It sure is great that people can help educate each other on this site! I certainly learned something today!

I guess I'd better start putting more of my silkie eggs in the incubator & hatch them!
