Yup chicken keeping is a real hoot! I find myself watching mine do the silly things they do and losing track of time.
I agree with your wife. Mostly because the hen to roo ratio is a bit off. You should get some sexed as female to add to your group. Just be ready for all the things the just hatched gals will need.
