whats better 16% or 20% protien?

That's a good point on the protein levels, however the layer mash that is ground for me is crude protein of 18%. Commercial feed from the farm stores is usually 14% to 16%.

Feed mills can grind you a higher protein feed, at not much added cost if desired.

The amount you buy at one time might be increased if they don't stock what you request, cause you need to purchase the whole mixed batch.

Yup they are both lay feed and contain 3.4 and 3.5% calcium.
