What'S DH?

hmm, guess it depends what kind of a mood I'm in

Most of the time I use DH to be darling husband.

OR because most of us are chicken/animal addicts and need all the help around the house we can get- i think of it as DEDICATED husband

Interesting, I was wondering this too. On other forums we usually use WD - aka War Department(formally), Wife Department(informally), interesting to see different lexicons across different forums.

LOL... depending on the mood, that D could stand for nearly anything.

Dear
Dumb
Daffy
Darling
Dreaded
Delightful
Darn
etc

I think you get the picture. Oh, and that holds true for the DS, but since he's a teenager can get much more creative.

DH is *generally* dear husband all over the internet. I've seen it used on a LOT of forums. Here are some more.

DW = dear wife
SO = significant other
MIL/FIL = mother-in-law, father-in-law
SD/SS = stepdaughter/stepson
DD/DS = dear daughter/dear son (sometimes people will add a number to this to identify their kids by birth order, e.g. DD #1)
BFF = best friend forever (signifies one's best friend)
BF/GF = boyfriend/girlfriend

We all would love to think it means Darling Husband from the Wife. Being married 15 years I think I have heard many others! I would like to add "Debonair Husband"
