what's eating my tomatoes?

Well, I know it's not my chickens because they don't free range (dog issues). It's also not the dogs. Someone mentioned little lizards, and we do have a lot of anoles around here. I think the holes are too big for slugs. They are the size of a quarter or larger. i composted the ones from yesterday. If I have any holey tomatoes today I'll post a picture. Thanks for all your suggestions.
 
Check your vines for stingbugs. They are brown or green and shaped like a shield. They will eat into the ripe tomatoes and other kinds of fruit and eventally there will be a big hole/s. I got them here and they are a huge PIA!!
