What's everyones favorite brand of food?

We use and like Manna Pro layer crumbles. I buy a 50lb sack of that along with the same weight of scratch, BOSS and wild bird seed and mix it all together. Right now I'm fermenting the feed again so it lasts longer and the birds get more nutrition out of it. In the spring we're supplementing with BSF. I currently let our ladies free range all day so they are eating much less feed than they have been in the past. So I guess my favorite feed is what nature provides for them on our land.

We live in western NC in the middle of "organic heaven". There are organic farms and stores all over the place. We're currently feeding a non-soy organic layer feed that the girls do well on. The local /organic movement here is quite strong and gives us lots of options.

If and when the organic feed isn't available, we'll have to choose something else. We're not wedded to organic everything at our house, though we do prefer organic when it's available and reasonably priced.

I'm using a Rural King feed called Country Road starter crumbles. Our chickens appear to be doing very well with it... They're spoiled though and get a daily treat..lately it has been scratch grains with either mealworms, or seedless grapes or pomegranate.. they really like it

I use DuMor for my horse & chickens cause it's cheap. TSC had Flock Raiser on sale @ the same price as DoMor Layer so I been using that, just to try it. The quality seems to be more consistant but as far as I care, chicken feed is chicken feed.

i agree. Sadly the girls refuse some food.

Last time i grabbed scratch, i picked up purina scratch. It was almost all sunflower, which they refuse to eat. Dumor they love.

Nutrina they love. Little snots.

Here just recently a local feed store recommended Payback feed. He says not only is it very cheap but production levels go up on it and people swear by it.
Anyone have experience with "Payback" brand of feed?
