I have this salmon favorelle chick and out of 10 chicks he is the only one with issues. He constantly pecks his right wing , rubs his eye on his back and has missing down on his shoulders (the down missing i claim fault for having the brooder plate too low and hes the biggest chick so his wings were touching the plate. I moved it as soon as i noticed an issue but it hasn't gotten any better.)
He has this red bump in his eye now and im at a loss as a first time chicken owner as to what it could be or how to treat it. Please help! I dont want to lose my biggest sweetest guy!

The redness, swelling, and eye bubbles could be from a peck wound or possibly a respiratory disease. That can be typical in mycoplasma or MG. Where did he come from? Look in his eye for a feather that might be irritating his eye. Terramycin eye ointment from a feed store can be applied to the eye twice daily after cleaning it with a clean moist cloth or saline.

Thank you. I'm hearing respiratory from everyone so im going to assume that's it. They came from a local breeder in my area. She's NPIP and her chickens were very healthy seeming so it must be something I've done being a newbie chicken owner.

Just noticed after looking at him again he does have bubbly eyes. :( and his nasal passages look ...dirty? Inside. I wiped his eyes and the rag came away a little dirty as well but that could just be the dirt bath I gave them or dust from pine shavings. I'm going to look for an avian vet nearby for Monday. I really hope its not a lifelong illness , I wanted so many chickens! But I also want my current babies to love long healthy lives with us too.
