What's going on with my sikie?!

I have a 1 year-old silkie, but I can't tell if it's male or female! It doesn't have a comb or wattle, it doesn't lay eggs - until today, I found a very small, tan-colored egg in one of my nesting boxes. It's way too small to be from my reds or my leghorns, so what conclusions can I draw?


Any advice would be helpful!

Sounds like you have a female. Some silkies do take a long time to start laying and they lay small cream colored (sometimes tan) eggs.
