Whats in the pot!

The edible not edible have it away. I grew these last year. A couple of hints, they get really big. Went up the side of my house to the roof. I picked loofas from the second story window. They have lovely yellow flowers. Hopefully you live in a warm climate because it takes them a long time to make. And lastly, beware of ducks who love the vines to eat.

Wow! We're planting them along the fence line now im worried thats not enough space! I figured id try them out this year and if it went well we'd do them every year. We are in northwest Indiana so not particularly warm but i heard they can make it even through frost

Nope. Dead at first hint of frost. I am in Houston and got them by planting in Feb and harvesting November. Even if you don't get loofas they are pretty flower vines. Next year start them inside in January if you can. If you want more seeds pm me and I will send you some. I am over run .I have them in the shower, give away for gifts and my favorite use, to do the dishes.
