I never use the liner in any of mine, chicks and ducks hatched just fine without it.

Day 20 and power went OFF!! Don't know how long it was off but hatcher temp went down to 91 f. Have power back on and one egg pipped. Hopefully it wasn't off long enough to hurt my other 24 eggs in there.

edited to change day from 19 to 20.

I've forgotten to put liner or paper towels down a couple of times....just makes clean-up harder is all.

Right now I've got BLRWs, BBS Orps, Cuckoo Marans, Speckled Sussex, and a few Mutts in mine.

ETA: I have my bator here on my desk by my computer, and I swear I just heard chirping!!!! No pips yet that I can see, but unless I am losing my mind (which is completely possible

) I heard some chirping!!! YEAH!!!!
