I have 180 coturnix quail eggs due to hatch dec16 so I exspect lots of company for christamas.

I take it you like Lavender? I need a roo for my Splash Orphington. She hasn't started laying yet. I'm surprised because all the others that hatched out with her are but they are bandam breeds and most of mine are mixed. I like the assortment. Anyway I have only 1 bator and it's full with assorted eggs and hatch dates. I have to start Dec 17, 25, and New Years Day. The Assortment are Onagadori, Silkie, Frizzle, Sizzle, OE, PR, and silkie/aracuna mix. I have the bearded silkie roo with a black silkie/aracuna, Silkie roo with Sizzle, Frizzle roo with Silkie/Aracuna and Sir Charles my American Onagadori has a AO hen and PR, OE and a solid black Silkie/Aracuna named Tyson and not after the factory. She fights like a rooster and will only let Sir Charles breed her. That was meant as she will fight any rooster head on like she is one but she is tame as a kitten with my Onagadori. My Splash Orhington is with him also but she isn't laying.

Three part staggered hatch in progress, again! Due Dec 20: 28 BCMarans. Due Dec 24: speckledhen's 21 Heritage Delawares, 6 others include Suede babies. Due Dec 26: 12 White Faced Black Spanish.

I also put 6 silkie eggs each under 2 broody silkies. Today is day 1 for them. Hope to have a dozen baby silkies around Jan 3.
