What's in your Kindle?

Oh! A Kindle thread!! Cool! I just got my Kindle for Christmas, and I LOVE it!!

My favorite books I've read so far were Water for Elephants and Pride and Predjudice.

I am subscribing to this thread!

I loved Water for Elephants! The ending was a little too convenient, but it gave a closure that was needed!

I wanted that book to go on forever! Loved it!

That was the first book I bought for my Nook. It is my understanding they are making a movie or have made a movie for Water for Elephants.

Can't wait!

I'm saving up for a kindle, and just downloaded Kindle for PC on my laptop. I've been looking through the free books, but its hard to tell what's good and not. The two books I read so far had a lot of religious stuff in them, which wasn't in the descriptions for them... It doesn't bother me, but its not my cup of tea.
I do like that I've read 2 books in 2 days, though. I love reading, but never make it to the bookstore or library. I'm really enjoying the convenience factor, and it will be nice once i have an actual kindle for the portability and the easy to read screen.

Here in Podunk, Arkansas the only place to buy books locally is walmart and the books offered there are censored. Our local library branch is run by the baptist preachers wife. Guess what kind of books you can find there?

I like knowing that I can buy books the rest of the country is reading.

I got a Kindle for Christmas, but I haven't read that many books on it yet. My favorite used bookstore closed shortly before Christmas, and they were offering old customers books for $5/bag. Between the kids and I we bought 5 bags, reusable grocery sized, of books. I'm still working on those. I'm reading two books on the Kindle now, one new paperback and two rereads of old favorites. The ones on the kindle are Sanctuary of Outcasts and Glimpses. One is a biography and one is a collection of short stories by a fantasy author I like. Yep, I'm reading five books at a time.

Water for Elephants is realistic fiction. Great book.

I believe it falls under fiction/historical fiction. Parts of the story fall into the Depression and Prohibition Era. It is a very fast read. Have some tissues handy.
