What's killing chickens

Today I was counting my hens to see if they were all in their coop so I could lock them up and one was missing. She was just a year old. I went out looking for her and found her dead in the grass. She was only a few feet from the coop. Whatever killed her only ate the guts and chewed on her head.

I was wondering if anyone knows what did this so I can prevent it from happening again
