Oh... Things I dare not ask for!

But that's because they are more expensive than my parents can afford with 4 kids. The big thing I'd love is a .22 rifle.

I did ask for cowboy boots but was already told no, so I have to buy them myself.

To give: something hand knitted for my grandson, other hand knitted gifts for my mom and DIL, gift cards for my children.

To get: a pair of Zumbawear pants with the strings that hang off the pockets, and a portable hard drive for my new computer.

Well my dad is helping me convert an old shed type thing into my new chicken house so that is a big gift all in its self. Oh and my mom is thinking of giving me two heated waterers, one for my chickens and one for my ducks, that would be really cool. And my older sister… well she will most likely get me a new chicken calendar lol just as she does every year. I will probably get my dad this new scope for one of his rifles he has been eyeing for a while, my mom an itunes gift card so she can buy more songs for her ipod so she can listen to them while she jogs, and for my older sis… a new Star Trek calendar just like every year lol. When every one else in my family asks what I want I usually just tell them money or a gift card to T.S.C. so I can buy feed or anything else I need. Sometimes they even buy 50 pound bags of chicken or horse feed, wrap them up, and put them under the tree, just so I have something to open from Santa lol. Oh and for both my grams I give them each a hand made card usually with my latest school pics tucked inside.

We actually started to celebrate christmas a little different. We saw a movie one time and it was about this poor family and there was no money for gifts. So everybody put the name of the item they would give to the other person on a piece of paper, put it in a little box and wrap it. So the other person then opens it and says "Wow, a bicycle, I would love one." It kind of has quite the meaning for us. We are not poor by all means but what we really want and need is too much for one christmas gift and it is something that we continously work on during the year anyways. To us it just means that the other one knows what we really want and althought it is out of the price range, would buy it if he or she were rich. Right now we are saving up for a new barn so there won't be much money for christmas gifts anyways. For Christmas it is just hubby, me and the animals so we can get goofy like that. I send some stuff over to my family but the postage is always so expensive. Material things are pretty overrated too. For me spending time together at christmas, decorating the tree together, etc. is much better than anything else.

I never "want" anything for Christmas, but this year I got the idea to ask the kids and DH to go together and get my van detailed for my Christmas gift (you know, shampoo the carpets and seats, clean all the hard surfaces - make it smell new and pretty!) I spend so much time in there schlepping the kids to this and that, it would be nice to have it look good and be pretty on the inside again

I put in a order with Santa for a Kindle Fire. I told my wife to tell her family and mine to just give her the money they were going to spend on stuff I don't need and put it toward the Kindle.
