I was never really into the 2D Alien Breed games, but AB3D was (and still is) one of the most atmospheric and absorbing games I've played.

I was lucky enough to own an accelerated A1200 at the time (a 28MHz Apollo 1220 with 4MB RAM, I think it was) so it played smoothly too.
