whats the best age to introduce your chicks to the rest of the flock?

i am raising some chicks and i already have a flock of multiple breeds. when do you think is the best time to introduce the chicks to them? and what is the right way to do it? (if there is one

Best is to introduce like numbers and like sizes.
Introducing a small number of smaller birds to an established flock is a problem.

If you are rearing them outside you could integrate your birds into the flock from a couple of weeks old onwards. Make escape holes in the fencing between the chicks run and the main flocks pen, that are big enough for the chicks, not the adults. If you create several, than it means your chicks can quickly escape and not get cornered.
 
The safest way is the "look but don't touch method." Put "integrating new birds to flock." in the search box - it should come up.
